Flintlock, have one in mind

I have a chance (if it's still there) to pickup an .50 cal Austin-Halex flinter rifle for $450.00
The fella is out of work and needs the cash.
Is this a good deal? Yeah, I know it ain't true without pix.

That price is good if the rifle is in nice shape, I would see if he would take $400 for it. I had one I bought new a few years ago, only sold it because I was getting left hand rifles to replace my right hand ones. Mine was made in the USA, all but the barrel. Retail on the flint Mountain rifle was $500+ at that time; I didn't pay that for mine. They seem to shoot high, had to file the front sight down some. You could also get a higher rear sight.
