You don't have to move it back forward. Its under spring pressure all you have to do is release it. The gun won't fire until you do.

So true! Also an auction where the reserve is not met tells you nothing of the guns real value. There were a couple of bids, but those bids were a thousand dollars less that the "buy it now" price. Could have even been buddies biding to prop up the apparent value.

The only good way to get a real clue about the value of a gun from an auction is if the gun actually sells. Even then, there could have been to rich idiots bidding!
