Went to the range a week ago - 5950'>sea level, c. 40% humidity, 47°F, all groups at 10 yards - tried out the new R&D .45 ACP conversion cylinder with the 5.5" Pietta 1858 clone. First, the 5.4-gr W231/200-gr LSWC loading:
M881.7/S 60.48/D 26.41
Then I went over to some of the older full wadcutter loads I did in the past few months. The first was the Matt's 165-gr full wadcutter over 4.9 grains of Green Dot.
M 889.3/S 181.0/D 79.41
Same Matt's 165-gr full WC over 5.7-grains of Titegroup:
M 1086/S 110.21/D 49.68
Finally the Matt's 165-grainer over the 5.3-grains of W 231:
M 955.3/S 42.43/D 20.32
I finished my time with the 1858 with the 200-gr TVB LSWC over 6.5-grains of Tin Star:
M 875.3/S 67.06/D 28.12
I had a lot of fun: Howell makes a great product!
