Finally a nice break in the weather without wind and rain so I went down to my place in the woods for the first shots.
I brought along my loads of a Speer 230 gr. swaged lead bullet .452 dia. intended for .45 ACP loaded with 5.5 gr. of Red Dot.
Also same bullet in the slightly shorter Hornady .45 Colt case with 25.9 gr. Alliant Black MZ.
Today all shots were with the .45 Colt conversion cylinder and will test the cap and ball cylinder another time.
The revolver shot very well and just a bit high which I made some corrections on hold on target. Really like the Red Dot load for plinking and
of course the Black MZ load is a blast of smoke and fun and fairly accurate too!
Had some fun with ol' Deadwood the gunfighter too!
