I bought 4 different colored powders from a seller on the CastBoolits forum (Smoke). The powders should be available elsewhere on line; also, Harbor Freight sells some. That way you can powder-coat bullets that you either cast or buy, in different weights and diameters to suit your needs.

Those actual bullets will be perfect. According to my 49th edition Lyman loading manual, here are some loads as suggested by Lyman.

200gr No2 alloy bullet

Starting load (minimum) Trail boss powder 5.8 grains gives 873fps and a chamber pressure of 10,600 C.U.P.

Maximum load 6.5gr, 934fps 13,000 C.U.P

CLAYS powder, starting 5.6gr, 837fps 8,400 C.U.P.................Perfect for a Remington, very low pressure.

Maximum 6.3gr 985fps and 12,200 C.U.P

UNIQUE Starting load 8.6gr, 918fps and 8,700 C.U.P..............................THAT'S the one I would go for.

Maximum load 9.6gr, 1083fps and 12,800 C.U.P

Don't worry about the OAL, seat them deep as you need to fit your cylinder.

So get them bought fella.

Thanks much appreciated

Update: Between selling the old place and moving to the new place (last Friday) things have been a little hectic but I ordered the .45 coated bullets yesterday - travelling by ground so I expect I won't see them till next week.

I don't and won't use any projectiles like that. But it would be neat if they came out with two tone projectiles.  :9)

They look retarded, and they're not natural.
