We had that happen on a Manton as well.

At that point,time to clean the steel out and build yourself a jig. That simple.

It's not worth fooling with. I wanted to clean it up to make a better display but I should have left it alone. On the other hand if I ever get a wild hair to build a shotgun or even a rifle I have a trigger guard, rebuildable locks and an entry pipe.

Sweet looking guns!

That wrist inlay, shaped like a shield.  It looks like brass, or maybe copper.  Red shield; Rothschild.  Can't help noticing these things.  That image appears in the strangest places.
