Yeah, Pietta has been doing stuff like that for a while.  There was even a depiction of a brass framed Remington in the Civil War movie, Ride With the Devil.  It was even all nice and shiny.

Pretty funny, that...considering that the Confederacy never produced a brass-framed Remmy copy. Closest they came was the Spiller & Burr.

Is a ton of those and Colt's too in probably thousands of movies

Movie prop people have been getting it wrong for years. One early film though, 1939s "Jessie James" with Tyrone Power and Henry Fonda got it mostly correct when they showed the James boys using 1858 Remington's to rob a bank in the late 1860s.
