New Tube for my CVA Napoleon Carriage!
« on: September 13, 2014, 09:48:21 PM »
OK Folks, this is what I have been waiting for....
So I have a couple of the older CVA 1/5th scale Napoleon cannons that back in the day were being made in Spain, and now I think Dixie and Traditions are still making them. Looking for some thing a little different I contacted Richard at RS Cannons out of Uniontown Pa. Gave him the basic measurements of the trunnion area for the Napoleon tube and he made this AMAZING Mdl 1841 6 Pounder Field Gun!!!
It is the same high quality, Stainless Steel cannon he has been making for years, but w/a over sized trunnion to fit the old CVA carriage. I think it looks GREAT! Can't wait to fire it!

That's a good looking piece of metal.   Don't forget the photos when you fire it.

Very nice. I've been tinkering around building a small cannon but nothing like that.

I know what you mean! I have made a couple tubes and now I have an extra Napoleon tube so I would like to find extra carriage. I will post when I get to fire it and when I get the other two done.
Anybody else have one of these older CVA cannons?
