Just some pics as I was told you wild bunch love another picture of the wonderful  .44 cal Remington. I put the walnut grips on ,no easy task and still they are not perfect fit,tough job.
I am an old engraver and shoot all Remingtons. Smells like victory to me.

That's one flashy Remington!  I'm fine with the new walnut grips, as the originals from back when got all battered and shrunk and whatnot. What did you use as a coating?

The dark grips were done by a young man in Kansas city about 25 years ago and he wanted to try his skills. I do not know what he put on them it seems to be a dark wood to start with. The grips on mine are just oiled at present with some furniture oil. I thought I would age them naturally. Thanks

Did you do the engraving ? That sure is one dandy looking Remington.  :P
