Winchester 1885 High Wall 45-70 Uberti Replica - Range Day
« on: October 05, 2020, 10:10:27 AM »
Just got this beauty about a month ago, I've managed to get it out to the range a couple times so far. I love these single shot rifles especially in 45-70, had a fun day at the range on Sunday , shot (2) targets at 50m and 2 targets at 100m to sight in - very happy so far. Took a short video for (2) shots just to see what I was doing with the trigger pull.

Love the vid!  &j(

Single shots is what i´m all about these days. Fun part, to me, being the analytics of it. Ie; load ladders for instance.. and all of a sudden grouping improves like nothing before  (T^

That said, the entire proposition of shooting BPCR or ML´s IS a tad different as there´s so many variables.
But.. only one way to get there. Keep on shooting.

As the saying goes, fear the man with ONE gun as he probably knows how it works...

If you haven´t already check ASSRA´s forum. Loads of info there, especially so for the 45-70.

I mostly shoot BPCR and I have a remington No.1 in 45-70 that I built up to breach seat a 500gn projectile cast at 20-1 and 92 gn of wano 2P. It is my favorite rifle and I love the calibre, especially with black, yours looks like a really nice rilfe

Love the vid, love the gun, love the smoke! Any issues with cleanup on the High Wall?
