Medieval Swords
« on: September 10, 2013, 12:48:35 PM »
I did not know we had a section on swords here.  I have been a sword collector of over 10 years. I am also a competitive sword fighter in the SCA. I have also studied Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) in detail.

Here is a website I put up about 10 years ago before much information was known about the quality of swords. My focus was finding quality swords in the $200 to $300 range between the years 2000 and 2005.

Here is a webpage I put up on basic sword and shield techinques:

Feel free to ask me any sword questions.

I noticed your website no longer was up. I am a member over on SBG (Sword Buyers Guide) forum. I imagine much like my love for swords, BP will become a fun addiction. ;)

My current sword collection consists of

Scott Rodell Cutting Jian
Hanwei Banshee (a modern take on a Burmese Dha)
Valiant Armory Malatesta
ST Sword kissaki moroha zukuri (a dual edge katana)

Cult of Athena has some good quality items in various price ranges.

Skallagrim on YouTube has some good videos and testing info as well as historical data. A Canadian and a different sort of guy, but honest and interesting
