Wake up
« on: September 04, 2011, 06:47:11 AM »
Hello...anybody out there hear me?  I'm getting awful lonely moderating this part of the forum.  I know you guys own brass framed guns, but there's one thread with two pics here.  Let's see all those Reb .44s and whatever else you're holding out.

So WAKE UP and get to posting!   {'O

I don't have any Remington pattern brass framed revolvers so I'll just post a couple pictures of my Griswold & Gunnisons,  OK?   <')

Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.

Fingers, I like the cased set, but I positively drool on that short G&G.

I have been searching for one of them for a long time - ok, in the cosmic order of things I've only been searching for a mere moment; but to me it was a long time.  This one appeared on Auction Arms a year or so ago with a high buy now and a reserve that was a lot more than I was willing to pay.  I tried haggling with the seller; but he didn't want to accept my price.  The reserve finally came off and the opening bid price was low.  My first bid won it, and was lower than what I had offered in the haggling.  Patience pays off.

Below you'll find two pictures of my very first BP gun - a brasser with a short 8" barrel  ;)

Alright, guys!  Way to go with some brasser pics.  {?|

Cap, I just noticed that yours has a plain cylinder.  I guess I didn't stare at the Cabelas catalog hard enough to pick that up.

Lizardo, cool hideout.  .31?

MuzzleMarc, you thought I forgot you and your 8" barreled shorty, didn't you?  Well, I didn't.  Although I like Kwilfong's 12" barreled Buffalo Remmy, the "short" versions are a bit handier  ;)

Yep, .31, just enough power with 10-15 gr to finish off a wounded rat! LOL
