Harper's Ferry.
« on: April 03, 2015, 11:34:35 PM »
I've been on the hunt for something different. Narrowed it down to the Harper's Ferry 58 cal flint lock pistol. Have any of you guys owned, used, or shot any of these pistols, and are they as good as the reviews clam they are?  I have a couple .50 cal single shot pistols that are fine shooters, but no flint locks. Comments please. M__

Dellbert,   Is this something like you are looking for?    Not my pistol but I have it in my possession.  The owner told me to hang on to it but he doesn't want to sell it to me.   I want to shoot it but don't know if I should.

Hi Mike. I been wanting another single shot. Looking around the net and the Harper's Ferry jumped out at me. Hoping someone around here had one and could tell me more about the gun. Wondering if it's the right choice. (^h

Dell, I have a Harpers Ferry model flintlock, but it is smooth bore. One of those less expensive imports. Not like the Pedersoli, etc. rifled ones. If interested, I could take photos and PM or email them to you. I have never shot the thing so can't tell you anything in that line.

I been holding out. I would like to take a look mazo. I can't make any promises on buying though. Just PM me here and it'll give me food for thought.
