Yea he is not far from me. He used to be an old target shooter and school teacher. His videos used to be objective and great, sadly though I think he has been bought out by sponsors. He makes so much now doing videos he quit teaching.

Hi, before I ordered the Howell Uberti .45 Colt conversion cylinder for my new Uberti 1858 I had considered machining one of my Taylor two .45 Colt Pietta 1858 conversion cylinders to fit the Uberti. I suspect that I would only have to turn off 0.020" from the face of the Pietta cylinder. When I receive the Uberti cylinder I will measure both the Uberti and Pietta conversion cylinders and compare dimensions. Will report back what I learn.

Regards,
Richard

Richard,
Thanks for that post! Good information especially for someone not real familiar
with the conversion process.   ( :-[ Like me!)

Too many times we see that happen.:'( Seems like  'O0 can buy a lot of loyalty these
days. IMHO  :9)

Wouldn't it make more sense to convert the gun to use Pietta cylinders, especially since you are familiar with it & already have a Uberti Carbine converted?  ???

No, the worst are govt employees that do Viagra, Pepsi and the bottom of the barrel is that Special-Ops guy that did Chevy commercials. I don't know why they don't prosecute them. It's a crime to use your govt position for personal gain even after retirement.
