Got Me A New Flintlock
« on: February 20, 2015, 07:05:30 PM »
I still have a fondest for super accurate target pistols. I came upon this one back in Nov It is
un-fired 32 caliber Yazel . Bo-Mar sights. These were built on a S&W model 41 frame. This make
dominates the line at the Nationals at Friendship. These are no longer made. Can't wait until
the weather warm up to shoot it. It takes Hornady"0" Buckshot. And 15 grs. Of Swiss powder
ought to shoot real well. Lock is fast and trigger is light.

Sparks well too

Just saw this. Words cannot express my feelings. To each their own, I suppose...

Is there a pre-industrial equivalent to Steampunk?

If so, that gun is very much it, and it is awesome.

Interesting. The more I look at it, the more I like it!
Nothing expresses Liberty more, than the report of a rifle shot fired in the defense of Freedom.

Seems to me Frizzen's gun is the flintlock J Browning would have designed.

Pre-industrial SteamPunk would be more in line with these grenade launchers:

Jim Beam me, Scotty!  Life here is more intelligent than I.

It IS a flintlock and it is a MUZZLE LOADER, and it is very accurate for target shooting which is what the pistol line is all about at Friendship. If I wanted a winner, perhaps I would get one too, but I still prefer the traditional pistols.  Just like I prefer traditional rifles over in-lines which are also popular on the Friendship ranges.

It is what it is. It does what it's suppose to do. Looks to be well made, and I like it Frizzen. (T^
If it's not broke don't try fixin it.
