{L*  Yeah they are brass but one was free and the other only 50 bucks. Top is a current manufacture Pietta The bottom one is an old Richland Arms made by Euroarms as far as i can tell.

There are some who will say you paid too much.
Just ignore them.
I doubt very much that, were they to stumble over a brasser in the grass and no owner within shouting distance, that they'd say

"Meh, I'll leave that one there for somebody who needs the recycling money to pick it up."

&j(  Nope . I tell ya that old Richlands might have been a kit gun once upon a time and it maybe brass.... but it is the most well balanced and best shooting 58 that i have ever owned and I have at one time or another owned steel frame Ubertis, and pietta.
It is noticeably smaller and more seek than may Pietta. Some one said that they were based more on the origanal Remington -Beals. I do know the pietta is a lot beefier. Only drawback is spare parts like the bolt. Dang near impossible to find as it is shorter than pietta or Uberti.
By God its been one hell of a ride.

Hay there Hawken! I like both of them Remmies. (T^ I'd buy a brass frame Remmie if I could get a good deal on one. I have two brass frame Colts that have a few years on them now, and they're still great shooters.
If it's not broke don't try fixin it.

That Richland Arms is either made by Armi San Paolo or, more likely, Armi San Marco. ASM made a lot of revolvers that got other people's names stamped on them, especially distributors like Sile, Excam, Navy Arms, and Richland Arms. ASP made revolvers in a similar vein, until deciding to begin importing under the Euroarms label.
ASM and ASP revolvers tend to follow the original dimensions more closely.

there is nothing wrong with brassers, other than they arent really historically correct. fire light loads in them, keep em polished and enjoy! i love them!

i had two brassers, a 12" bison traditions/pietta and an asm 51 colt. the pietta was nice but i shot it loose and sold it for 200
(paid 220 for it new at bass pro) the asm other the other hand was a pos...

brass remingtons are just fine in my book, brass colts i avoid.
