"Bounty Hunter" flint kit build
« on: August 19, 2014, 03:33:47 PM »
I'm a ways into the building of my Bounty Hunter kit. I have the brass pretty well polished, 8 coats of hand rubbed Tru-Oil on the stock. Will post some pictures:
The box as I got it

Parts and pieces:

I have started the polishing of the brass parts here. Notice the sapwood on the grip :'(

Had to make a couple of sidelock screws as the ONE in the kit would work but was quite short. Got one pretty well started here and the other in the process. Will put the screw slots in and fire blue them soon.
