OK, I lied....
« on: September 06, 2013, 10:38:54 AM »
But I couldn't help myself! I said earlier that I wouldn't be working on the CVA '58 kit until I finished another project. Went to the basement last night to work on that project, but kept looking at the box of kit parts. Finally got the frame out along with the hammer, cylinder arbor and trigger guard. Those are the parts that wouldn't fit (may be more fitting of the action parts later). A bit of filing with a fine toothed flat file and the hammer falls into place! Just milling  and drilling burrs on the inside of the frame. Same with the arbor, trigger guard took a little more filing and now it too fits nicely. No more than 10 minutes filing time. I am in a better frame of mind now about the gun.

It's not a big deal. I normally have at least a half dozen projects going at once.

Hold on Sam. Seems the one he really lied to was his own self. We new what he truly meant to say.Something like"I'm not going to work on it until I decide to work on it." (?^ (?^
