FIE Baby Dragoon
« on: January 15, 2013, 12:21:07 PM »
Just found all the parts to an old FIE Baby Dragoon that I picked up back in '82. A little history on this puppy. I got it from a gun shop in Jacksonville, Fl for 90 bucks. It is a 6" barrel model. Somebody in the distant past drilled and tapped two holes in the backstrap, apparently to attach some sort of shoulder stock. It is an AC ('77) code. After I restored it, I gave it to my nephew who promply shot it and didn't clean it for 6 years...yuck! Then, he gave it back to me and asked me to fix it. No, not happening, I cleaned it and put it away. Over the years I scavanged parts and lost a few until recently I collected all the parts I had left. I had to drill out the nipples and bead blast  and repolish it. It needs a new bolt, in fact, it needed a new one when I bought it. The one I got didn't fit right, so, I got it to work. The bore is pitted but the chambers aren't bad. This is going to be a bit involved, pics coming...

Sounds a bit like this one.

Nice project.   :)    Them leaves are not a very good background for a gun photo though . . .  ;)
Beware the man with one gun,.... he probably knows  how to use it.
