And here they are outfitted with some faux Ivory checkered grips:

Shot em in a match last weekend; but, they won't replace my navies

Whew! Glad you said that. Was afraid we were losing you there for a minute )L$

Never owned a ROA nor shot one. (my name ain't Rockefeller!) How do they handle and feel compared to the replicas? They look like they should feel like my Super Blackhawk, but looks can be deceiving.

I saw a few at the gunshow today and they are big. I would like to have one even though it will most likely only come out a few times a year.
I like packing pistols that don't make you wish you weren't packing a pistol.

Although having one in .50 would make for a unique hunting revolver.

WOW Fingers! I love them! Checkered Grips? Did you buy those and put them on?
I wonder if your grips would fit on my Ruger SS .45LC pistol?  (^h

The ROA grips are the same as the Blackhawk & old model Vaquero.  I got these from www.handgungrips.com they came in 4 days after I ordered them.

They are a lot bigger and heavier than a '61 Navy; but, they have the same 'feel' and are natural pointers IMNSHO.
