Remington factory visit
« on: November 13, 2011, 07:00:00 AM »
I have a journal from the 1870s written by a local businessman (Civil War veteran).  In 1876, he visited the Remington factory in New York.  This is what he wrote (short but interesting):

Monday, Sept 4th, 1876
Today I visited the extensive armory of Remingon & Co at llion.  I obtained a passing glance at the various mechanical processes by which rifles and guns are made, but so extensive are these works & so numerous the various machines, that it was only a glance that was obtained during the 2 or 3 hours that I was there.

Is The Old Factory Haunted?

I know this is a way old thread, but this is a good of a place as any to put this. This video was made by "ghosthunters" at the old Remington factory. Of particular interest, what gave me the goosebumps was the recording at the end of what they just call a "gunshot". But to my ear, that is a very distinctive sounding gunshot, is that, or is that not the sound of an 1958 Remington pistol??

THAT gave me the creeps.
Gun laws will only prevent law abiding citizens from owning guns, since the last time I checked, laws don't stop criminals from doing anything. And besides, the constitution says that gun laws are treason. Which part of that is too complicated to understand? Maybe TRUMP can fix it, but I won't hold my breath.
