I thoroughly enjoyed this post, one of the best.

With the originators permission I have transcribed the instruction portion of the post to a pdf file that you are all welcome to use and share. Please see attached.

Regards

Retreever

Retreever, that came out really nice. That's what I was going to do, but after time went buy, I forgot all about it. Thanks for doing it and posting it. I saved it to a file.

Thanks for posting this.  I had a leatherworking class as a freshman in HS maaaany  years ago and this is a good review.  It can be modified to handle any of the Remy or Colt pistols we have.  Where can the needed leather be ordered these days, rubber cement, too?  GF

Careful......I read this post now have spent about $800 or more on equipment etc. I guess the plus side is that I've been able to make and sell enough to almost cover my costs so far. But I have a good friend with a gun shop in Tombstone. It's addictive.

I've bought most of my larger pieces of leather at Tandy locally....I like to see it before I buy it. But those on line sources are ok too. Also check Spingfield Leather, they have a website and the service and quality are great.

I didn't know that.  Depending on where they are I would need to carry something more potent than my '58 just to get to the area of the store and out of there safely.  I avoid going into the city at all costs.  GF
