Very good; can't have too many different barrel lengths.
Collecting about any color cap and ball revolver as long as it has a top strap and 8", 6 1/2", 5 1/2" or 4" barrel.

Planning on placing a stock on that thang?

I could see hunting from a blind where the window could be used. Isn't it rather front heavy?

I like that you got the steel frame.

I'm curious how the extra barrel length increases velocity.

])M I will glady give a range report, can't wait to get out to the range but it my be awhile.
I agree can't have too many barrel lengths, I have 5 1/2", 8",  & 12" .
I have thought about a stock for it, it doesn't feel too front heavy and is surprisingly easy to handle and aim.
By the way I purchased it from Old South Firearms, Lee is always a pleasure to work with.

Thanks Sooty.

Here in the shop I will have people do a blind test handling the 5.5 inch, 8 inch and 12 inch Remmies. People swear the 5.5 is heavier and less balanced than either of the others (the .36 cal Remington belt model is even heavier-feeling than that). I used to see Lee Van Cleef with his in movies and wonder how he could even handle that long barrel before we started carrying them.

And here is my new (rather old) toy:
Arrived today. Original. Very good condition. Spent most of the afternoon getting the nipples out. Bore is like a mirror. Sharp rifling. Not much fired. Here's a quiz; What is it?

Looks like a Remington Police. Is it .36 or .44? Sure dose look mighty good for an original.
If it's not broke don't try fixin it.

Here's my .36 on the bottom.
It's slightly smaller in thickness to my two EuroArms above it. Has to be held right next to a 44 "58" to see much difference.
