I'm a mil-surp, C&R kinda guy, and enjoy the challenge of bringing new life to old iron. I haven't dealt with black powder much, but I did have an H&R Huntsman in .58 cal.
I recently picked up an Uberti 1858 .44 revolver carbine that had the cylinder frozen. It's GTG now.
Like most of us here, I like shooting the old iron but it's gotten expensive as of late, and I really haven't been shooting much in quite a while. But I haven't stopped "acquiring". These are some of my mil-surp bolt guns, a few are unmolested (never arsenal refurbed or upgraded), as issued, parts assembled (mis-matched #s), or cloned (Santa FE). I like a good wall hanger and am not opposed to displaying them.
Here' she is, and some other wood & steel of mine I've rescued. Enjoy, glad to be here. PAX
