What is anyone hunting?
« on: February 23, 2016, 12:09:36 PM »
Kind of a slow time of year for hunting,at least in my area of the woods.
Not much to hunt but varmints this time of year. Personally except for
ground pigs I only get them when hunting something else. So what's
anyone hunting for this time of year?

Friend of mine in the foothills has seen a lot of wild pigs. Probably will go up this weekend.

LJ,
My son went hunting for them in the Southern hills of Ohio a couple weeks ago.
Saw lots of sign but no pigs. :'(  Good luck if you go!

Lots of wild boar trails in the snow over here. They are terribly shy though. So far we've only seen their foot prints.

Nothing around me to hunt here. Besides, I don't have anyone to hunt with me.  :-[

Rabbits are in season here in Ky. But I don't go out for them. Need dogs, most use beagles.

Nothing in my immediate area.  Think spring black bear is coming up soon.
if somebody would do the hard work skinning gutting and take the meat
I would go.

Primarily I'm always hunting for a cool tropical drink on a warm beach.

Other than that, small game.  Squirrels and raccoon mainly when I have the time.

The sun is out in California and temperatures are in the 70's. The gophers are trashing my yard so I'll be hunting them.

The guys who live on our ranch said the hunting's currently pretty bad, but it's green there at the moment.  Might increase the game.

I'm just huntin someplace cool. 98 today with 86% humidity. I loaded up my navy late this evening and gathered up all my stuff and went and got in the shade. Six shots later my eyes were burning from sweat and I came back in the house.
