Pity that R+D don't do a drop in cylinder like they do for the Pietta and Uberti New model Armies.

I wonder why the Rogers and Spencer cylinders need to be fitted to the gun ?

Think at one time there was more than 1 manufacturer and all had different dimensions on parts (kind of like Pietta and Uberti 1858 cylinders being different dimensions).

Oh OK that would make sense. Different factories making them but marking them all as "Euroarms".

As opposed to guns being made by Pietta and a totally different company being Uberti. The tolerances would be the same for all the guns made by the two different firms under their own brand names.
