Hawg, she looks very intelligent and nice color too. I took in a St. Bernard looking stray that was sleeping under my atv trailer about four years ago. Named him Barney and he turned out to be the best dog ever. I been thinking of getting his DNA checked so I know what breed he is. He is not but half as big as the St. Bernard, but looks like a smaller version.

Lots of Huskies around here.  Never have seen one that blond.  She looks great.

She looks blonde in the pic but when you see her in person she's actually a light red and white.

Hawg, she looks very intelligent and nice color too.

Oh she is. She already rules the household )L$. The cats don't like her but one of them is starting to come around a little bit til she starts "talking" to her. Huskies don't bark much but they have these weird little howls that sound like they're trying to talk.

This last month been trying to help this destitute woman I know  not bad looking  but very emotional  in a bad way; told her in beginning no sex  no cigarettes no candy no alcohol I would provide quality meals.
everyday she would want some  cigarettes   but no money to buy it.  And I don't smoke
yesterday went to breakfast my treat  she walked out before it arrived. ate mine hers in a go box wanted to go back  to her house    flagged down a sheriff deputy. I'd had enough   turns out she owed a
$10 bond       didn't have it so was arrested
some people you just can't  help no matter how hard you try

Some people you can help, others you can't.  That should not stop the trying.

In the news, we have a FREAK OUT! over a snowstorm back east.  Turns out it's happened many times in the past, and yet it gets treated, literally, as a STATE OF EMERGENCY!  Good grief.  It IS winter, or rather, late fall.  These things happen, and people must be able to cope, yet now it has become a government heyday instead.  They’re acting as though an atomic bomb had hit.

In local news, a COYOTE! was spotted near the middle school.  Well duh; there are lots of coyotes hereabouts.  I passed a road-kill coyote on the way to work today.  Yet the spotting NEAR THE SCHOOL! (OMG!!!) actually became a police matter, wherein the police took it upon themselves to instruct us stupid, quivering sheep, via the local radio stations who were only too glad to participate, on how to avoid conflicts with wildlife in town.  “Keep away, and give them space” we were told.  Who’s town is it anyway; ours or the coyotes’?

I feel like I'm in an alternate reality, where everyone is, properly, to be viewed as stupid, weak, afraid of their own shadows and in retreat from anyone and anything they see, where the first reaction is to call the police at the sight of anything uncomfortable.  What happened to the ability to cope as a sign of a mature, capable and valued member of the community?

Oh, America, America!  How low you have fallen, that I no longer know you!

When I was in second grade, elementary school, circa 1964, we had a weekly "show and tell".  I recall a classmate recounting his spotting of a coyote near their farm.  He ran inside, grabbed HIS OWN 30-30 rifle (we are what?  Seven years old in second grade?), and he dispatched said coyote with a single shot.  End of story.  I bet that kid (I still remember his name; Mark) bought that rifle with his own money, too, and he would have bought it over the counter, no paperwork, at the local hardware store and took it home on his bicycle.  Such things were commonplace and never made the news, for why should they?  But now such a thing would be seen as eccentric at best, and pathologically brutal and dangerous at worst, prompting a visit from Child Protective Services to take the kids away from their “irresponsible” parents who taught a kid to shoot, let him have his own deer rifle and allowed him constant access to it.

Oh, America, how you have failed your people, and your beautiful promise!  I weep at your failure, but I will not weep at your demise!

There will be enough weeping, and gnashing of teeth, among those who brought us so low.
