Johnnie, that's a good idea for the Rem Revolving Carbine.

Regarding the homemade "cap keepers" and the Colt repros, I found that even though the fired caps were sitting loose on the nipples of my Pietta 1851, the extra girth provided by the plastic "cap keepers" prevented the caps from falling back under the hammer.

Where can I find those cap keepers?  That would be good for when I'm running 40-45 gr.

Fred, I just used aquarium "air line" tubing..... it's the standard size for connecting air pumps to air stones in a fish tank..... can't remember where I bought it, maybe Petsmart or Walmart (?)

I have plenty of 1/4" tubing here at work.

Thanks.

It gets tiresome putting the caps back on when you're shooting heavy loads   {_K

hey, there's still room in the end of the cylinder........aren't you supposed to fill it to the top then compress with the ball?   :9) M__

Hi Fred, I don't fill mine all the way to the top. My cousin Herbie Paul has the steel frame 58 Remmy Bison 12" barrel and he fills the cylinder full then rams those balls home. I'll tell you, that gun is loud!!! Got a good kick to it too!  ;)

Yeah, normally I run around 35 grains.  There is still easily 1/4" of open space left at the end of the cylinders.  30 grains just feels like I'm shooting a smokey air gun   &j(
