This reminds me...I was about 15 at the time. I had a bunch of them black and white diamon-necka chickens. Anyway, I was out in the field hunting pheasants with my Winchester .22lr bolt-action rifle. I saw a few heads sticking up out of the weeds. I was popping them in the heads. I got around 12 or more. When over to get them...I was shocked!!! I killed my own black and white chickens!  >:(
Earlyer that morning, someone in my family had let my chickens out.
I cleaned them up and put them in the freezer.

Sam's the man.  Creates a temporary egg shortage but makes up for it in plenty of fried chicken.

You must of thought you just found a passel of pheasant! When we hunted them, we would feel blessed to bring four home. The tastiest bird that compared with the taste of a free-range raised chicken. Just yummy! Partridge are also tasty, but they flush like an arrow from a bow, and were impossible for me to ever get one.
