The guy that lets me deer hunt on his place loves fried squirrel & makes a great Brunswick stew so I always shoot a few for him.
When I 1st came to Arkansas 30 years ago we had good quail hunting & I took a bunch with my 12ga S/S frontstuffer. Very few left around here  :'(
I do an occasional "canned" pheasant hunt at a preserve across the line in KS.
I reckon so

There was a dandy thread on the MLF last fall where a kid went out rabbit hunting with his Navy repro and rolled a couple cottontails with those li'l .36 balls.....ever since, I've had the urge. Haven't popped a bunny since I was a teen. I have a Navy that should do just fine!

Rabbits is good eating, especially when you are hungry.   Roasted rabbit, grilled rabbit, stewed rabbit, rabbit cooked over the open fire, rabbit cabobs, there, now you all done it, I am hungry!
Leave it as it is. The ages have been at work on it and man can only mar it.
