Newbie from SW MN
« on: March 10, 2019, 02:52:01 PM »
Hi,  picked up a couple 1851 reproductions at an auction.  Needed something to tinker with this long MN winter.  A lot of info searches came to this forum.  Will probably be buying an 1858 when I find a deal.

One of the pieces needs a hammer and trigger so bought a Cabelas parts kit.  Will see how that works out when it arrives.  Have a question on proof mark that i'll post separately.

Welcome from Motherlode region, North Commiefornia. If you enjoy irreverent humor, jokes about getting old and getting corrected by oldtimers, this is a fairly great place to check out. Oh, and Remington porn.

Hey Ramrod48. Where about in SW Minnesota? I used to spend time in the Montevideo / Granite Falls area.
