Hello Mark,    Tresso nipples,   I think DD4lifeusmc here on the forum sells them or can get them for you.   If not Track of the Wolf is a good source.

Me either,  but I bought a used revolver that had Tresso nipples installed and they worked great.   I have stock nipples on all my other guns.

Many Thanks to all, gentlemen.  Although I've had a few Remmys for awhile, I've never shot them.  My cap 'n ball experience being limited to Colt and its Italian replicas, namely Uberti.  I've had good luck with SlixShots on a couple 1860 Army pistolas and some trouble with some stock nipples.

I'm getting ready to start shooting those Remingtons and am just anticipating any trouble in advance, although it sounds like that ,ight be a needless concern.  Wouldn't that be a wonderful surprise?

Looking forward to getting those Army and Navy Remmys dirty!

Never had a need for aftermarket in Pietta, Uberti, ASM or ASP guns.

Me either. Even the PR nipples were good. The rest of the gun not so much.

I have fitted STAINLESS Track of the Wolf nipples to both my Uberti 1858 Remington and my Pietta Navy Yank snubnose for two reasons. Firstly STAINLESS is less likely to cause problems with seizing due to corrosion so you can periodically remove them for cleaning. Secondly I can use No11 caps the same for both guns. Piettas normally use No10 caps and Ubertis No11. Hope this helps.

Nice. Was going to ask same question. Asked and answered. I think I’ll hammer my OEM Pietta caps until they scream for mercy and take it from there. I do admit that I like SST on my TC hawken as they clean up nicer and are pretty durable.  Also, being able to standardize to #11’s would be a bonus
