I can almost hear Hawg now....."Dayum, that shiney hurts my eyes!" The rifle was polished by the previous owner and you can see it is shinier in the auction pictures than nearly a month later. There is a trace of brass polish in a couple of the stamps. It is gonna mellow slowly on it's own, which is just fine with me. In the picture of the lever safety, it looks like scratches in the frame. That is just the way the light is shining on it; you can't actually see any scratches.

Nice purchase Mazo,   I now have a Henry which was the predecessor to the '66.   I'm thinking I need to find a '66 now too.
Many SASS shooters have disabled the lever safety on these.

There was an 1866 Uberti Yellow Boy in 22 caliber at the same auction that sold for $150.00 more than mine. It had two chips out of the buttstock and scratches on the barrel. I feel very lucky to have gotten mine!

Mike, I was at one time considering joining SASS/CAS as I had all the needed guns. My wife suggested that we didn't need yet another activity requiring time, travel and MORE clothing!
