My Dear Racing -
now that you have the thing, can you satisfy my curiosity - is the grip frame an independant unit like the R&S, held in by screws?

A beautiful gun owned by a skillful owner.  A non-shop guy like me can learn a lot hanging out on this thread.

To paraphrase Lincoln in another context:  If Mag Dog only threatened me I would not believe him – for I believe he would DO IT.

The Freeman looks like the love child of a R&S and a Starr...

More the other way around Captain.

A Roger&Spencer is the spawn of a Freeman and Starr.

Okey.

So. This one, being all dressed up and nowhere to go,got placed on the afterburner. For quite a while, why i just recently got around to shoot it.
This..REAL scarce old warhorse.
As a small recap, these guns were produced in rather low numbers according to legend. Approx 2000 or so were made and this is number 1906.

As it turned out the payload was delivered like that of a scattergun, which is NO good for a revolver, and upon closer examination it turned out that the cylinder didn´t index properly over the barrel.
Lockup and what not was fine..

So it took a little work getting this piece to perform as the "needs" even outgrew the window in the frame. Not by much, but still. Bolt had material added until satisfied, and now indeed...
Piece turned into a regular tackdriver,to the letter. Hole in hole sitting down at 25 meters like it was going out of style!

Worst video quality ever..i know, but shot with friend Stefans cellphone last night... That there is 38grains of Wasag 3F and a 145grains RB.

Which makes me wonder?
Has this gun always performed as it did? Cause if so..not much of a handgun was it. Which i guess it is now OTOH.  {?|
